I'm almost upset that I've given these people my money for something I value less than a flash game.ĮA and Criterion made a great game in 2010's Hot Pursuit. I should have donated that $60 to something. I realize that the NFS series has never been about realism, but this game was just horrid. This game might feel natural to someone who has never drove before (an 8 year old), but to anyone over 16 this game feels sluggish and just strange. I entered the pause menu to turn off the assistance during drifting and such because it was incredibly strange, but there weren't even any settings for it.
I have a 144hz monitor and the graphics card to use it, but I'm not able to because criterion and EA don't care about pc gamers quite obviously. On top of that, being nothing more than a shitty console port to PC there seems to be no way to enhance FPS over 30 which looks just awful. There was no menu of any kind (lazy) and the video options are abhorrent. The handling is incredibly bad, just drift and your car looks like it's on ice just sliding all over the place. I purchased and played the new most wanted for about 20 minutes and uninstalled it to play the original. Everything is hand holding 8 year old garbage. After having played NFS:UG, NFS:UG2, and the orginal most wanted a lot when I was younger, the new games have been a huge let down. I'm late to the party, but I felt like posting something. Need for Speed would be out for the count against the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo like NBA Live is out for the count against NBA 2K.īe thankful Need for Speed isn't gone in general. If it were the exact same, I would be able to smash a Lamborghini into a cube. Liscensed Cars, Customization, Cops, and Autolog separate this game from Burnout Paradise 2. Most Wanted is Paradise 2- SURE, it's going to be similar to Paradise, but not the EXACT same.Slightly Mad Studios and Criterion did EA a favor for coming out with 3 great titles these past years I predicted that Need for Speed would FAIL if Black Box stuck with things.
Heck, if EA stuck with Black Box Underground 3, Pro Street 2, Undercover 2 would be out, and The Run 2 would be in development. If anything, Black Box ruined Need for Speed and set it back from glory when they made Undercover and The Run.
